About Me

I took my first lampworking class in December 2003 after admiring the beautiful handmade beads on eBay and at a local bead show.

It has been an adventure. The biggest rewards have been the unexpected appreciation of my work by others, learning from friends and experts in the field of lampworking, and making beady friends from all over the world.

I’ve been blessed to be able to take classes with some of the most popular lampwork artists in the US, including (but not limited to):

  • Michael Barley
  • Jennifer Geldard
  • Brent Graber
  • Andrea Gurino
  • Sage and Tom Holland
  • Tink Martin
  • Doug Remschneider
  • Jari Sheese
  • Heather Trimlett

A little personal trivia:

  • I am a Christian
  • I am a technical writer and love computers
  • I have Fibromyalgia
  • I am 49 and have two nephews whom I love dearly
  • I have a BA in Sociology/Psychology from Anderson University
  • I’m a huge introvert and homebody, but not shy
  • I’m extremely honest
  • I love dogs and have a Miniature Schnauzer named Isabell who occasionally sleeps beside my chair on a huge body pillow as I torch.
